Christmas

In the busyness of the weeks leading up to Christmas it is easy to lose sight of the true meaning of Christmas. So why not this year make a point of setting aside time just to stop for a moment and to think why we do celebrate Christmas. You will discover that it is not about all the shopping, food and parties but a celebration of the moment in history when Jesus was born into the world. Jesus is the one who, if we accept it, will bring the most wonderful gift of God’s love, forgiveness, joy, and purpose into our lives. You are very welcome to join us at all or any of the following events to learn for yourself something more about Christmas and of God’s wonderful gift to us.

Wednesday 13th December at 6.00pm: Carol Service Children from Year 1 of Woodmancote School will be taking part in this service of traditional carols and readings – it is ‘carols by candlelight’ but with the help of a few glowsticks!

Wednesday 20th December at 8.00pm: Carols at The Apple Tree A very popular and enjoyable evening with mulled wine and mince pies served during an interval.

Sunday 24th December at 10.30am: Carol Service Another opportunity to enjoy a service including traditional carols and readings.
